The Universe’s Safety Deposit Box

When I first had the idea for the title of this blog I thought I might write about how many people take pictures to save their most precious memories and are fearful that old age or an accident will rob them of their mind and memory. I believe all our creations including the memories that we make are saved for us in the Universe’s Safety Deposit Box, in the mind of God. That is where we live, and move, and have our being. Sometimes we do not feel the complete and utter peace and beauty of our true place because of the doubt and distraction that we have chosen to think of instead when we listen to ego, the pretender’s voice.

Our treasure is safe not because of what we have done or what someone else has done but because of Who we are and Whose we are. An account was opened for us before we began this particular adventure in space and time and that account is added to everytime we think with God, with the Universe. Scientists say the Universe is ever expanding and they are correct.

As I write these words I am thinking of a line in the poem High Flight that was written by a World War One pilot describing the wondrous experience of flying:

“I have chased the shouting wind along and done a hundred things you have not dreamed…
Flung my eager craft through footless halls of air, up the long delirious burning blue…
And hovering there, put out my hand and touched the face of God.”

I believe those words that I just quoted are as wholly or holy inspired as any words every recorded. The writer who wrote them was creating, thinking with God, the Universe. And like our precious memories, those moments we see with God, the Universe those inspired words and all our creations are saved for us to be revealed one day. A day that will shine so bright as to make the brightest day we have ever known pale by comparision.

Keep shining, Children, and keep singing the song we learned many of us as children, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.”
