The Origin Of Disease And The Cure
Disease or sickness has its origin as its name implies in uneasiness, stress, and fear. We have in us what is commonly called a “fight or flight mechanism” where the body secretes a large dose of natural adrenalin to help us in time of need to face what the mind perceives as danger. This emergency device was never intended to go off all day long, day in and day out. Our body was not designed for such stress. Too much stress and there is a system failure that usually reveals itself in our body’s weakest link. If you have a weak stomach that is where you will feel it first, bowels, back, neck, knees. If you have lived with stress as most of us have you know where you feel it first if you are continually overloaded.
Some think this weakness their particular curse. I, for one, do not believe in curses or that the powers of darkness are lined up to torment us body, soul, spirit, and mind. In my mind there are no demons lurking in the darkness – just the bright blessed day and the dark sacred night. There is but one true Mind and that is God’s and we are either thinking with Him or listening to the lying pretender ego – a delusion man invented so he could pretend he is separated from God. That lie, that delusion is the origin and the basis of all illness and disease.
Some one has said that the power to heal is really just the ability to see things as they really are. Whenever someone says or writes that they are sick my thought whether I express it in words to them or not is always the same – I hold a vision of them in my mind, whole, happy, and completely healthy. There is a line in Scripture that says, “Healing is the children’s bread.” Yet, I have heard it most used by people begging God for healing. That is a misuse and misunderstanding of the words. The words most often used by Jesus when he was asked to make someone well were, “Be it unto you according to your faith.” In Spanish the term, “Creo” means I think or I believe. It is from the same Latin root word that we get our English word creed which is a body of thoughts or beliefs. What I an driving at is if you think or believe you are sick then your body will provide you with symptoms but if you think or believe you are well your body will provide you with signs of health. God the Universe made us that way. He shares His creative and healing powers with us. As He is so are we in this world.
The doctors, the hospitals, the drug companies, the insurance companies, and the government are not ultimately responsible for our health – we are. And contrary to a false believe in “magic pills” touted to work miracles especially in “pain management” there is a purpose in pain. It is a signal from the body that something is wrong with our thinking. If the afore mentioned list of people who are not ultimately responsible for our health were not so focused on a profit motive they might be more helpful in aiding us discover the root cause of pain, disease, and illness. Another great quote is, “Physician heal thyself.” We each have within us the power to see ourselves for who and whose we truly are and that is and will always be whole, happy, and heathy. I raise a glass to your health. Think healthy thoughts.
