The Human Race

Racial discrimination is one of ego, satan, stupid’s (whatever you choose to call the  enemy within) favorite hobby horses. The very idea that one child is better than another or less than another is so foreign from the true idea of family that it would be laughable if it were not so hurtful.

“We Are Family” is not just a cool song it is the truth. I have thought much on Jesus’ words to his disciples, “In that you did it not to these the least of my brothers you did it not to me.” He was not talking about church folks, club members, higher society. He was talking about folks some think of as “least” because they have less money or more trouble than most. Being sick or in prison can be troubling but I do not think that Jesus thought of these brothers and sisters as less but those of us who think of them or treat them as less are really acting as the lesser or least.

There is but One Race – The Human Race. There is none pure blooded no not one – the greater truth is that we are all of one blood. Made of the same elements and that is just the physical part. Our true being is light and love and these bodies are just houses we lease and live in for a time.

As a race, the human race is capable of great kindness and compassion and at the same time great meanness and condemnation. But that is ole ego/satan/stupid again. Our highest best nature is always aligned with Our Source – Love and Light.

It seems no matter where I start out I always come back to this -every race has a progenitor a source. No matter how many branches there are on The Tree of Life there is still only one tree and we are connected. We may try to deny the connection but it is still true and the only person we are fooling is ourself. So why not just join the Human Race and run together to our ultimate goal of realizing what has been true all along we are One.
