You Can Change It?

Blog 424 – 10.04.2016

I just saw a short video clip of a train passing by a Subway landing. The caption read, “You can change directions just by thinking about it.” And sure enough the direction of the train appears to change according to your perception. If you think the world is headed to hell in a hand basket then guess what? “Be it unto you according to your faith” to quote Jesus. Your faith is what you believe, what you think. So in that regard your faith, again what you think, is the key to all the Universe, God, has for you.

It cannot be any more plain to thinking individuals that, “Whatsoever you ask (believe/think) you shall receive.” If you keep asking over and over for the same thing what that really means is that you don’t believe/think it is going to come. And surprise it doesn’t come. “Be it unto you according to your faith” again.”

In Spanish “creo que” means “I think or I believe.” Believe and think are synonyms in Spanish and English. Hear yourself use them interchangeably in conversation:

“Do you think the plane will be on time?
I believe it will.”

“Do yo believe the plane will be on time?
I think it will.”

The way we change the direction of our life is the same way we change the direction of the train in the video mentioned above, we change our perspective, we change our thinking. Someone has said, “The same wind that blows one ship upon the rocks blows another ship to safe harbor. The only difference is the set of the sails.” To change your whole perspective on life you only have to change the angle of your view or your thinking only slightly.

Tell yourself when your life seems all wrong, “It doesn’t have to be this way” and try to see your life as you want it to be. That is called visualization. “If you can see it you can be it.” You choose what thoughts you dwell on and are therefore responsible for what comes, the shape your manifestations take. Blaming God, the devil, or anyone else is a kind of cop out.

Your mind and mine are like a powerful fine tuned automobile that can stop, turn on a dime, go zero to sixty in seconds, and take you anywhere you want to go.
Happy motoring.

David White
