The one true enemy of our souls whispers lies to us constantly. Most of those lies are accusing our brothers and sisters of various dark motives against us. But the great lie was invented to keep us always in a state of worry and fear. That lie is that there is a shortage, not enough to go around so you better get yours and hang the others.

Someone has defined rich as “enough”. That is why many people with great stockpiles of material wealth do not consider themselves rich. They want a bigger pile. Don’t you think it a bit strange that we live in a culture that has a hoarder mentality? Why, many of us have so much we have to rent storage space to keep our extra stuff. Why must we pile it so high? Fear, because we believe the great lie. All it takes is a rumor of a bad storm coming and people will literally climb over each other at the grocery store to stock up on the necessities of life – bottled water and beanie weenies. The Ego pulls the strings and we dance.

The marketers know this and sell us tons of stuff we’ll never ever need or use. I am not immune. I recently paid a thousand dollars for a backup generator. I have lived sixty five years without one and if I live sixty five more I will most likely never need it. But it looks cool and runs so quiet. Well not mine I have had it three months and have not even started it.

Why do we constantly worry about this or that? Because we have bought into the great lie – not enough, we might run out, we won’t have it when we need it. Even our children are worried sick. We need to listen to our loving and infinite Source, our higher self. The still, small but confident voice that says, “I am so grateful that everything I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.”

In your heart of hearts you know this true don’t you?
