What defines us? Is it who or what we hate?
Are we defined by who and what we love? People even we ourselves are guilty of trying to label or define ourself and others by our likes and dislikes but we are a known entity, a pre-defined commodity.

I believe that we like the characters in a novel are defined by the author. Whether you believe that Author to be a single author, that we are Co-authors with Him, or the third possibility that we are Him, there is Scripture for all three positions.

Perhaps if anything is an indicator of how “self-actuated” a person is in their journey it is the way we react to adversity. It is not so unusual for children and young people to pitch “hissy fits” and hold “pity parties” when things do not go their way. For those of us passed thirty-nine, many of us way passed thirty nine, this is not our first brush with trouble. Come on people did you not know that if you keep hanging around that you were going to out live friends and family yes and even children and grand children. This is not a world without changes and opportunities, disguised as trouble and adversity.

We are made of sterner stuff than we often realize. Diamonds mark glass which is pretty hard stuff. Leave your mark on this world not the other way around.
