Blog 238 – 02.25.2016
I am fascinated that the term God used to describe Himself when Moses asked The Burning Bush, “Whom shall I say is sending me to Pharaoh?” was “I am.” I recently wrote a blog on Taking God’s Name In Vain and to me that is not using the words God and Damn connected, nor saying things like “Lordy, Lordy” or “Jesus Christ.” But I think using God’s name, our family name, in vain is saying things like, “I am weak”, “I am poor”, “I am unable.” God is none of these things and neither are you. We all need to be reminded just Who and Whose we truly are. If I am being too subtle, You are God and you are God’s. There is a little obscure verse in the New Testament that most people miss or get too caught up in the sales pitch, the standard malarkey, to notice. It says, “Is it not written, you are gods.” I often wonder if the real job of most religions and politicians is to keep us from discovering this truth. Because the truth is if you have the knowledge of Who and Whose you truly are that would put a lot of people out of a job. The people who work overtime time trying to make us believe we need their services, their intercession, their robes and rituals, or Brother Love Salvation Show to be okay would be out of work. Well, I for one know that I am better than okay. I am divine, but no more so than you, a joint heir to all there is. Namaste, my brother and sister, that means “I bow to the divinity in you.” As ole Gomer Pyle used to say, “Surprise, surprise.” I have seen through your disguise.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
David White
I Am
I already abide in the highest realm.
I Am is my name.
I alone am at the helm
Deciding where I go and knowing whence I came.
With all I am One,
All that is both done and undone.
Creature/Creator also my name.
We are One. We are the same.
I am both gift and giver.
I am both life and liver.
I am both night and day.
I am the life, the truth, the way.
