None of us is always “on” shining a light of encouragement. We all experience moments when it seems like life is kicking us in the butt. And that is all the more reason for us, when we can, to shine our brightest to illuminate our own path and the path of our fellow travelers. Most of us can look to at least one shining moment in our past when our own light was burning a bit dim and the light of another helped us see clearly enough to make the next step or two. As a writer I hope to leave a legacy of encouraging words to my friends and fellow travelers. Perhaps someone will see one of these blogs if not today someday and will be uplifted and encouraged to keep walking, to keep trying, to keep on keeping on. Just around the next bend we will one day see the light in the window of the place we have been heading towards all our lives – Home. See you there.

Always my intent,
To be a light and airy breeze
On a hot day, heaven sent.
To be the glimpse of sunlight
Peeking through the darkest cloud,
To be in chaos a moment of peace,
An “I Love You” said out loud.
Something uplifting this was comes,
Something bright and shiny,
A loving pat upon your back
When life just kicked you in the hiney.
