Blog 166 – 11.19.15

What is your dream? A dear friend of mine has for many years held the dream of having a Candy Store. Another friend of mine has for most of her life dreamed of being a teacher, a professional photographer. I get exited hearing other people’s dreams for like Kermit the Frog in the first Muppet movie I fancy myself also a poet and a dreamer.

In the song Beautiful Dreamer the line concludes, “Wake unto me.” In the movie I Robot the creator gave the robot a name and he also gave him dreams. I said all that to say that I believe this life is a Dream – God’s dream and our Creator, the Author of this dream, gives us dreams, desires, to move us where he wants us which is to himself our only true home. Sometime ago I saw all this in a single verse from Proverbs, “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

He gives us our dreams, our desires, and since all that is is God our delight, our dream, our desire is always in the Lord. The game is rigged. The House always wins but what a load off us dreamers who bought into the lie namely that we ever were or could ever be separate from Him. Talk about your safety nets. The God of all the Universe allows us to sleep till we are ready to awake and it will be sweeter than the sweetest dream. Sweeter than a Candy Store, the coolest most rewarding job, or even making the New York Times Top Ten Best Selling Booklist for that book you always wanted to write.

Dream Big and watch Him make all your dreams come true.
